The most important in Europe and World conducted cross-cultural socio-political survey:

  • European Values Survey (EVS);

Implementing high quality international surveys in Lithuania, LiDA aims to design and develop the standards of excellence in Lithuanian empirical research. LiDA represents Lithuania in such worldwide known continuous comparative international surveys as European Social Survey, the European Election Studies and International Social Survey Programme. At Spring 2011 LiDA is announced as service provider for Lithuania at Council of European Social Science Data Archives (CESSDA)”.

    “Monitoring System of Social Problems: Implementation of the International Social Survey Program”. The project is being implemented under the national scientific program “Social Challenges to National Security”, funded by Research Council of Lithuania (grant number SIN-15/2011). Duration: 2010–2011. The aim of the project is to develop an efficient monitoring system of social problems, which would reveal the results and outcomes of the social policy currently implemented in Lithuania. This project also aims to introduce international comparative analysis of social problems based upon the methodology of International Social Survey Program (ISSP). The project is focused on the long-term monitoring of social problems by conducting comparative, cross-national analysis. Thus, participation in the ISSP guarantees the international scope of the research and inclusion of Lithuania's case into the global research agenda. On the basis of this project was developed the project of Monitoring of Lithuanian social problems.

    “International Social Survey Programme: Monitoring of Lithuanian social problems”. The project is being implemented under the national scientific program “Social Challenges to National Security”, funded by Research Council of Lithuania (grant number SIN- SIN-07/12). Duration: 2012–2013. The aim of the project is to develop an efficient monitoring system of social problems, which would reveal the results and outcomes of the social policy currently implemented in Lithuania.     „European Social Survey: Attitudes, Values and Behaviour of Contemporary Lithuanian Society“. The project is being implemented under the program of Researcher teams’ projects, funded by Research Council of Lithuania (grant number MIP-022/12). Duration: 2012–2014. The goal of this project is to implement the 6th round of the ESS in Lithuania, and to carry out a diachronic and international comparative analysis of the attitudes, values and behavior of contemporary Lithuanian society on the basis of data from the 4th, 5th and 6th ESS rounds. ESS is an academically - driven social survey designed to chart and explain the interaction between Europe's changing institutions and the attitudes, beliefs and behavior patterns of its diverse populations. Currently gearing up for its sixth round, this biennial cross-sectional survey covers more than thirty nations and employs the most rigorous methodologies. By implementing such a high quality comparative international survey in Lithuania, research group aims to design and enhance the standards of excellence in empirical research. ESS data contributes to the studies of contemporary society and makes it possible for scientists to find out what people think (and thought in the past) about the key social issues.

    „Memory and Knowledge in Understanding of Threat: a Case of Lithuania and Russia”. Project is being implemented under the program of breakthrough ideas, funded by Research Council of Lithuania (grant number (PRO-11/2012). Duration: 2012–2013. The project seeks to uncover factors that form and influence threat perception in international relations. Applying and expanding current research methodology to the case study of Lithuanian-Russian relations, the project seeks to distinguish the role of collective memory and prior knowledge in the formation of threat perception. The results will be compared with similar studies conducted in Spain and Germany trying to understand why and how different levels and interpretations of threat perception develop.

    “The Rights of European Union Citizens': Problems and Solutions”. The project is funded by the European Commission Representation in Lithuania. Duration: 2012–2013. The goal of this project is to identify the problems of Lithuanian citizens living in Lithuania and in other EU countries, as well as residents from other EU countries in Lithuania, related with the implementation of the EU citizen’s rights. This project also aims to suggest ways and means for the better implementation of EU citizens' rights.
